Documents Handed to Staff at Bupa Facility - Liston Heights - Taupo
These are the documents handed to staff as part of the restructuring of contracted staffing hours over the so called "Consultation" phase.
First Document
In which management outlines their concerns that staffing is currently "inefficient and inflexible". They indicate that this will all be fixed by possibly introducing a '4 day on 4 day off rotating roster' but do not explain how this will make any actual savings on nursing hours worked and therefore the total payroll outgoings. The suggest that no decisions have been made and that a consultation process will be followed - but then announce a 'Time Line' which says that the new roster will commence on Monday 3 March 2014.

Second Document
In which management advise that they have had a large number of representations from staff against the proposal to institute a 4 on 4 off rotating roster. Management now advise that if staff do not opt for the 4 on 4 off roster then management will have no choice but to make all staff redundant and re-employ staff, as they see fit, to meet Bupa needs.
They also mention that a document circulated by a staff member gives an "inaccurate impression" of Bupa. They do not, however, try to address where said document was inaccurate but simply assert that it was so and then go on to list some random facts as if they are refuting what had been said.
